Role Details
We’re looking for a Lighting Supervisor to lead the lighting team in delivering exceptional, photoreal CG lighting for film and high-end TV projects. You’ll combine strong artistic vision with technical expertise to ensure seamless integration of CG and live-action elements, overseeing all lighting aspects from bidding through to final delivery.
Working closely with the Head of CG, VFX Supervisors, and Production, you’ll guide a talented team of artists, help optimise workflows, and maintain the highest visual and technical standards across multiple shows.
What you’ll do:
Supervise and deliver high-quality lighting and rendering across film and TV projects
Oversee shot continuity, lighting quality, and efficient render workflows
Lead, mentor, and support lighting artists to meet creative and technical goals
Collaborate with VFX, CG, and Production teams to plan resources and meet deadlines
Problem-solve complex lighting challenges and take key shots to final when required
Contribute to lookdev, testing, and development of new lighting tools and techniques
Help refine lighting workflows, pipelines, and best practices
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience as a Lighting Supervisor or Senior Lighting Artist in film or TV VFX
Strong understanding of lighting, rendering, and lookdev principles
Proficiency with Houdini/Solaris/USD, Mantra/Karma, and Python scripting
Experience with GPU rendering and optimising render performance
Excellent eye for light, colour, and composition with attention to detail
Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
Calm, flexible, and solutions-focused approach under pressure
Nice to have:
Experience mentoring artists and building team structures
Familiarity with ShotGrid and procedural or automation workflows
